TODDLER TIME

The combination model option at MSEHS is designed for families who do not regularly use child care but wish to provide a classroom experience for their toddler, age 18-36 months.  MSEHS calls this classroom experience  “Toddler Time”.

Using parent input, goals and observations of children’s emergent interests, teachers plan activities for children in the Toddler Time classroom.  They include music and movement, books and literacy, science and math, make believe, art, outdoor experiences and always, play with other children.  These activities include both group activities and individual, self selected ones.  Parents are always welcome to visit or volunteer in the classroom.

During class a family-style breakfast and lunch is provided which has been planned and prepared according to USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program Meal Guidelines.

No transportation is provided for children enrolled in this option so parents must be able to provide or arrange a ride both to and from class daily.

Toddler Time parents receive two home visits per month (24 per year).
